Finding the Right Balance
Here’s how to exercise in a way that supports your health without overtaxing your body:
- Schedule Rest Days: Allow at least 1-2 full rest days each week.
- Mix Intensity Levels: Alternate harder workout days with gentler activities like walking or
stretching.
- Listen to Your Body: If you’re feeling off, it’s okay to skip a workout or modify it to be less intense.
- Quality Over Quantity: Focus on form, controlled movement, and mind-body awareness rather than pushing for more reps or heavier weights.
When to Modify or Stop
If you're experiencing any of the following, it’s time to reduce the
intensity or pause exercise altogether until you feel better:
- Dizziness or shortness of breath beyond what’s normal for your fitness level
- Chest pain or pressure
- Sharp joint pain
Always consult a healthcare provider if you're unsure whether your symptoms are exercise-related or if they persist.
